If you’re tired of your PC crashing / rebooting / updating, says Google, get yourself a Chromebook.

It’s a nice idea, but is probably just hype. They’re playing on users’ genuine frustrations with their Windows computers, forever seemingly updating. But reality is very different.

Perhaps the latest high end Chromebooks suffer none of these ills, but I seem to spend every other evening these days attempting to repair our daughter’s Chromebook Flip, which crashes constantly and then requires me to go through the exhausting process of logging in all over again.

Nope, Chromebooks are just as frustrating to use as their Windows counterparts. As an increasingly jaded IT bod, I am bored of supporting tech that rarely lives up to expectations.

Tired of your PC crashing all the time? Get yourself a pencil.
