Can we really call our organisation a supporter of apprenticeships?
Doubtful, for after months trying to establish one, it all comes down to an unwillingness to fund the associated role.
Short-sightedness has been the name of the game for the past fifteen years. I should be used to it by now.
I should stop trying to make things better, and instead just focus on my own deliverables. Let the organisation absorb the risk of their own design.
I think I’ve already lost my willing apprentice, anyway. How long do we expect them to keep holding out for news of funding? It’s our loss.
