Europeans migrated, settled, and built nations all over the world.
Australia, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, New Zealand, South Africa, Zimbabwe, the United States, and many more lands besides.
There is nothing peculiarly un-European about migration.
Our forefathers migrated from one place to somewhere else.
And so it is for all peoples. Migration is part and parcel of the human story.
Our emigrants calling themselves expats when they migrate does not change what they are.
All of us are in a perpetual state of flux.
Who knows, perhaps one day, the English will be forced to migrate east in large numbers in search of new lives and opportunities.
Nothing is a given. Humans will always migrate from one place to another.
