I see we find ourselves in a bubble, forgetting what it is we do and why. Forgetting who we serve and what their needs are. Ignoring the bigger picture.

This is the danger of distancing yourself from the frontline, working away without taking stock of where you are going or what you are trying to achieve.

Our business is healthcare: yes, even us in the back office providing support services. Ultimately that’s what we’re there for: helping clinicians to deliver care against all the odds.

Why so surprised, then, that they don’t have time for all the extraneous junk flooding down from on high? Staff shortages of epic proportions, anyone? Wake up. Burst that bubble.
