What a confusion is being sold to the common man. What once were considered enormities, with criminal sanctions, are now passed over as moral slips, of no consequence whatsoever.

Congratulations, you have successfully thrown your religion under the bus. That might be acceptable if it was only your personal faith discarded in this manner. But, no, you have chosen to deform it for everyone, preaching this peculiar message to all.

I find it amusing that activists perpetually rage against the despotic and corrupt regimes in the Muslim world, for by their own actions they reveal that if they had power, they would behave exactly the same.

They would not pursue justice for their own. They too would lie and cheat in defence of personal interests, and hide the truth or obscure it. They too would embezel riches, and persecute all who fail to toe the line. Their propaganda machine would be no different. Their secret police no less brutal.

So here we are: a confused generation which can’t differentiate right from wrong, while those claiming to be victims victimise others without pause, chasing them down, manufacturing malicious machinations to undermine them, and then have the temerity to plead: nobody advised me that what I was doing was wrong.

What, not even your heart?

By the sun and his brightness, and the moon when she follows him, and the day when it reveals him, and the night when it enshrouds him, and the heaven and Him who built it, and the earth and Him who spread it out, and a soul and Him who perfected it and inspired it with awareness of what is wrong for it and what is right for it, he is indeed successful who purifies it, and he is indeed a failure who neglects it.

Qur’an 91:1-10
