I don’t claim that my view of the world is the right one. I don’t pretend I am correct and everyone else is wrong. I just write about how I have viewed things during my lifetime, the experiences I have had and how they shaped me.

I would be the first to admit I have always been an oddball. At school, when my peers were into Baywatch and the Nintendo Game Boy, I was dreaming of a homestead farm.

If I had an aversion to the privilege I was raised in, it’s not to claim that those who aspired to that for themselves were wrong. If anything, I now understand the ease we might have had in our lives had I embraced it.

I make no judgement of others in how they choose to live their lives. I am not immune to envy in respect to the achievements of friends and family. I don’t claim to be a pious sage, doing what’s right while others are astray. Far from it.

If I write about my journey in life, it is not to say you are wrong. Live a good life, however you please, so long as you minimise the harm you might otherwise do.
