Out walking this evening, our lad turned to me and said, “What’s happened to you? You used to be such a calm man. Suddenly you’re… you’re so… cross… angry!”
“Am I?” I asked, surprised.
“Yes, for like the past month.”
“Really?”
“I admit,” he said, “our behaviour isn’t helping.”
“Do you think?”
“But that’s not an excuse. You’ve changed suddenly.”
“Hmm,” I shrug. It’s as if I exist in isolation, unaffected by the buffeting forces all around me. “I don’t know, lad,” I muttered, sauntering on in silence.
