In a community scourged by addictions, gang membership, domestic violence, abuse, fraud, dishonesty, cheating and neglect, the only example of a “sin” in need of reform the preacher can come up with is young men listening to music in their cars on their way to work.
Maybe that’s bad if it’s a misogynistic tune glorifying gang violence and promoting indecency. But maybe more of us should be listening to tunes like this one, if it helps make us better people. We have our priorities completely mixed up.
Personally, I’m a spiritual refugee. Well, that and a melancholy grump.
