Writing pleases me. It is a longstanding habit.
What does not please me: the self-promotion associated with publishing. This I just can’t stand and cannot do.
For this reason, I cannot see myself getting a publisher, because I am not a viable brand.
So it is that I resign to remaining a hobbyist. To write and publish for pleasure alone. Perhaps that is for the best.
