Words have consequences.
The words of politicians scapegoating minorities for their failed social and economic policies.
The words of headline writers, demonising those they perceive to be outsiders, for decades without pause.
The chaos on our streets did not come out of nowhere. The ideas that gave it life have been promoted by the most influential for years.
Furthermore, the influential knew what they were doing. They know history well. They know exactly how scapegoating and demonisation ends.
May God protect the innocent from the evil that men do.
