We say, “Understand users and their needs in the context of health and care.”
We emphasise, “Work towards solving the whole problem for users.”
We insist, “Provide a joined up experience across all channels.”
We reiterate, “Make the service simple to use.”
We underline, “Make sure everyone can use the service.”
And yet, here I am, being forced to deliver a suboptimal solution which discards every one of those principles, flying in the face of everything we are trying to achieve.
I wish I wasn’t browbeaten into this. I wish I had stood my ground.
