Without asking me, you tell me what I will be capable of.
Without setting out what the problem you’re trying to solve is, you jump to your solution.
To you, it seems to be a foregone conclusion. You’ve already identified a supplier to deliver your deliverable.
But if you’re going to be blunt, let me be blunt too.
Let me stop you in your tracks. Let’s approach this in the right order.
Take me through your issue. Let me see your brief.
Let me be the judge of whether we have the capability to help you or not.
And have a little humility. Ask and listen. Don’t just tell.
Who knows, before your arrival, perhaps we have been here before.
Is that too blunt?
