The way things are taught nowadays winds me up.

Whether it’s GCSEs or a professional course at work, they rarely teach you a broad overview of the subject.

They just teach you what you need to pass an exam, and how.

Okay, great, I passed the exam, but now I have to go back to the guidance in order to put it into practice, because it was mostly just skimmed over at speed.

For me, knowledge is there to be practised. It’s not just a commodity to be bought and sold.
