The Post Office scandal is just the tip of the iceberg. That kind of rot and corruption is endemic across big business nationwide.
Management without morals, employees without ethics, people covering their backs by unscrupulously blaming others.
Just witness the energy companies pursuing imaginary debts caused by failures in their own systems.
The banks chasing misattributed thefts caused by their own malfunctions.
Transport companies pursuing fare-dodgers, despite the pursued proving their innocence.
It goes on and on like this. For in the push and shove of professional career development, honesty doesn’t get a lookin. It’s dog eat dog out there.
Few are cognizant of the accountability that awaits us all.
Woe to those who give short measure, who, when they take a measure from people, take in full. But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss. Do they not think that they will be resurrected for a tremendous Day?
