What is it that concerns the ordinary man and woman of Britain?

Is it contrived culture wars pitting community against community?

Or are they worried about four years of disruption to their children’s education, their curriculum barely covered by the unending stream of supply teachers, science taught without a single lab experiment?

Or are they worried about an unusual lump, or unexplained pain, or a hip that needs replacing, or a strain on their mind, all of them left undiagnosed or untreated, because they can’t get a GP appointment, or are stuck on an unending waiting list?

Or are they worried about affording the monthly rent, or keeping up with mortgage repayments, or buying new shoes for their kids, or putting food on the table for their family?

What is it that concerns the ordinary man and woman of our nation? Maybe our politicians should ask themselves this question.
