“Are we living in the end times?” asks the internet.

Well, clearly the lifespan of every human is finite. Thus, for every generation, these are certainly the end times.

Each of us is hurtling towards our end. For some, death comes too soon, while a few may see out a century.

In the nineteenth century the average life expectancy was about thirty years. By 1950 it was fifty years. Today, seventy-five.

Few of us know exactly when our death will be, but none can deny its approach.

Are these the end times? Yes, our end times. Soon this short sojourn in the world will be over.

Then we will be sent to our graves, to await our resurrection on a Day the like of which is fifty thousand years, to be held to account for how we lived our lives.

People ask you concerning the Hour. Say, “Knowledge of it is only with God. And what may make you perceive? Perhaps the Hour is near.”

Quran 33:63

Death will take everyone, so die with truth and honour.
