So I think the Note20 is growing on me. Particularly entering text with the pen, as I am doing right now. It feels rather more fluid than thumb typing. Love the scratchy sound effect too.

Overall, the phone does still feel a bit large for my liking, but maybe that’s just a consequence of using a much smaller phone for several years. Still, I think I’m getting used to it.

Probably for the best anyway as I get older, my eyesight not being what it once was. Turns out this could be the companion device I need, both lazing on the couch composing a new post, and when out and about on the move.

If I didn’t have misgivings about durability, I would have preferred the folding clamshell form-factor of a flip phone. But since the Z Flip doesn’t yet support DeX mode, I think this is the better choice.

Early indications: yes, it’s a keeper, after all. This entire post was composed in handwriting, while lying on my back on my sofa with my left leg up in the air balanced on my right knee. Lazy scribbling.
