Only in the vivid imagination of the lunatic Alt-Right could the centre-right British newspaper, The Times, be considered the home of left-wing journalism.

In the mainstream, Britain has two left-leaning daily newspapers: The Guardian and The Mirror, joined by The Observer and New Statesmen published weekly. The remaining assortment of fringe newspapers and magazines are scarcely visible.

This contrasts to an overwhelmingly right-dominated press, with vastly higher circulation, comprising The Sun, Daily Mail, Times, Daily Telegraph, Daily Express, Financial Times, Evening Standard and The Spectator, joined on the new media front by GB News, Times Radio, Talk Radio and Unherd.

Furthermore, three quarters of Britain’s national newspapers are owned by billionaire supporters of the ruling Conservative party. Despite continuously decrying the overwhelming left-wing agenda of the ruling liberal elite, it’s pretty hard to identify any such trend in the media landscape.

For all the lamentations about “the establishment” and “mainstream media” pushing their marxist agenda on the masses, there’s little evidence that anything like that exists.

In Britain, we have in fact had for a decade of very right-wing government, which has not only implemented a hostile environment policy, but has also actively embedded discrimination in public services.

Such is the alt-reality of the Alt-Right: they reside in a parallel universe to the rest of us.
