I wish I was a nice, selfless person. I’m not. I’m generally selfish, and pretty grumpy. But sometimes we encounter people who inspire us to be better versions of ourselves. Charitable souls who live their entire lives in the service of others, forever seeing the good in every situation, enthusiastic about life, happy and optimistic. Whenever I encounter such people, I regret my whole being. What I would give to be such a soul. Maybe I should give more of myself and try.
