Giving charity does not diminish your wealth. On the contrary, it multiplies your blessings.

Indeed, the men who practice charity and the women who practice charity, who have loaned God a goodly loan — it will be multiplied for them, and they will have a noble reward.

Quran 57:18

Never stop giving, regardless of your circumstances. If you have no wealth to share, there is still the kind word or good deed. As the saying goes, even a smile can be a charity.

If you give charity openly, it is well; but if you bestow it upon the needy in secret, it will be better for you, and it will atone for some of your bad deeds. And God is aware of all that you do.

Quran 2:271

In short, both your being asked and your response is a blessing for you.

Have you seen the one who denies the recompense? For that is the one who drives away the orphan and does not encourage the feeding of the poor. So woe to those who pray, who are heedless of their prayer – those who are all show and withhold simple assistance.

Quran 107
