Some might say it now looks like a Vienetta icecream, but the important thing for us is that it no longer dominates the room with its dark brown finish.
These hand-downs are solid shelves, but not exactly suited to our ickle house. This facelift makes them a bit more cottagy.
The only problem now: this is one of a pair, so the second will require the exact same treatment next. Who knew I’d get into the furniture repair business?
