Something can seem bad, but it’s best for you. Conversely, something can look good, but it’s bad for you.

Once upon a time, we may have raged against what seemed unfair, but with hindsight we come to appreciate what occurred instead.

Sometimes we may conclude it was a tribulation, but in fact it was a blessing. Sometimes we may think it’s a blessing, where in fact it’s a tribulation.

Perhsps we may dislike something, but it’s good for us. Likewise, perhaps we may like something although it’s bad for us.

These, the vicissitudes of life, governing every interaction and choice. Each one demanding a reaction of either patience or gratitude.
