Alas, difficult times lie ahead. Rising energy prices. Rising food prices. Rising taxes. Stagnated wages. Insecure housing. For the poor, the years to come will be catastrophic.
Worse still, those in power will play divide and conquer setting communities against each other, stoking communal tensions, ensuring there is no meaningful opposition to their corruption and excess.
The bright new future we once believed in has been aborted. Now it just seems like history is repeating itself. Megalomaniacs beat the drums of war. Please don’t respond to their battle cry.
I fear for the impoverished northern towns we left behind. I fear where these times will lead us. If only we could all seek refuge in the One.
