I have no idea why you were unjustly stopped and questioned, but I am sure it has absolutely nothing to do with that press conference you called for the international media, in which you described the alleged lead-executioner of the latest bogeymen of the West as (formerly) a really lovely chap.

And certainly nothing at all to do with those impassioned speeches you once gave at political rallies, in which you publicly decried the tyrannical West and called for its downfall in your previous incarnation as rabble-rouser extraordinaire for HT.

You control your own narrative. The newspapers have you down as a “rights campaigner” now. Well done.

I, too, have on occasion been stopped and searched at length at international borders. I may write about the experience when I have a book to sell.
