Think you will be a benevolent ruler? Try being a benevolent parent first. Even if you try to give everything, you will soon learn that is never enough. Then imagine ruling over millions.
Young revolutionaries want to change the world. The old look back at them jadely, having tried but mostly failed to be just between children, spinning into depression as no amount of guidance bears fruit.
Indeed, We offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they declined to bear it, being fearful of it. But humanity assumed it, for they are truly unjust and ignorant.
Quran 33:72
The young revolutionary may believe they can create a better society than those who passed before them. I just see how, as a parent of two, I fail daily.
