The former Muslim, now rabidly islamophobic? We did that. The Muslim convert driven out of her religion? Yes, we did that too. The shame is on us. They came to us begging for help, and we cast them out, turned them away. Our cowardice created them. When they would not quieten down, instead of listening more intently, we slandered them and drove them away, mixing up victims and oppressors. As cultists, were were unable to appreciate the divine. Blinded by our self-worship, we could not hear the words of God. We are the great unjust, driving away all who stand in our way. It is our shame. To our horror, we will be asked.
