Despite the snobberies of the surrounding areas, I honestly don’t think I could live anywhere else. Our little town is diverse, with a good community vibe. Today is the schools’ carnival and the place is buzzing with joy.

We’re surrounded by beautiful countryside, and yet in easy reach of everywhere. We’re last stop on the Meteropolitan line, and a forty minute drive from Heathrow airport.

Some call our town the poor man’s Amersham, but that’s no bad thing; there’s nothing pretentious here. Why pay half a million for a box with no garden, just to get a Berkhamsted postcode?

Walking the streets of our town, it’s lovely to feel the relative calm; serene compared to the cities which surround us. Clean air, open countryside everywhere within reach.

Our town is not without its problems — where is? — but I’m quite proud to have made this place our home. Truly, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be.
