Patronising guff

Why do we have to accept daft platitudes like, You’re the least white white man I know? It’s fine to be whatever you are, as long as you’re not a prick.

I had a friend who used to mutter that patronising guff in the 1990s, but he was excused because we were both exceptionally immature teenagers.

It’s a bit different hearing these things today though, from forty-something activists who really should know better. If I said you’re the least Asian Asian dude I know, you’d rightly thump me on the nose.

You need to get out more. Mix with different kinds of people. You’re just making a fool of yourself saying these things. Grow up.
