No humility

Even more brazen than ever before, our fallen idol now likens himself to Malcolm X, brought low and undermined by his enemies. No humility here. When it was his groupies projecting this fantasy onto him, at least he could say: the delusional fanaticism of insecure admirers, taking things too far. But now he is master of the subliminal messages, convincing his followers that he has no case to answer. At play, the machinations of an enemy intent on breaking and bringing a whole movement down, by attacking and undermining its figurehead. No humility at all. He is already a martyr.
