Can my novel Satya be redeemed? Possibly not, but this evening I wondered what would happen if I went snip, snip, snip with the editor’s sheers and liberally pruned the text, binning half a dozen chapters. Could it be turned around and given a new lease of life, or is it a futile mission? I must say my heart is no longer in it, but it seems such a shame to abandon the novel so definitively. Snip, snip, snip.
