It shocked and upset me most because I'm generally a pretty relaxed fellow. A mellow fellow even. Anyway, every day is different. Today I walked to the mosque, hoping to exercise my knee joints after sitting at my desk in the office all morning, but brothers kept stopping to offer me a lift!

I'm glad you wrote about this topic. I've been there too and exerienced unexplicable rage, and it's not nice. But generally, on the whole, muslims seem to be very angry people, especially brothers. Muslims in general seem to be angry at the west, adults seem to be angry at a society that let them down, and children are angry at their parents. In short everyone is lashing out at each other. But what do we do about it. I think we need 'Prophetic anger management lessons' in the light of the Quran and Sunnah.
By the way, there is evidence to suggest that anger runs in families too.

Not exaggerated nor insignificant....happens to many of us (or least me too unfortunately). It's good thing that you are actually reflective of your behaviour, analysing it in order to change it rather than justifying and making excuses for it (the ego loves to do that). May Allah protect us all from the harm within ourselves. Amin
